RAINFALL HASN’T HELPED RIVER LEVELS

River levels in the Manning catchment haven’t improved, despite several days of rainfall.
As a result, MidCoast Water is reminding residents in the Taree, Great Lakes and Gloucester areas to continue to be mindful of their water consumption.
It says people shouldn’t become complacent, with more warm weather on the way.
Since the start of spring, the utility has recorded a 15 per cent jump in usage, compared to the average amount used in the past seven years.
