PINK FIGHT AGAINST CANCER HITS THE STREETS

An army of Tamworth High School students today hit the streets equipped with all things pink.
The walk coincided with the Cancer Council’s annual Pink Ribbon fundraiser, which helps support patients diagnosed with breast or gynaecological cancer.
“So many people have been affected and everyone knows someone that’s been affected. So, it’s something close to heart for everyone.”
Residents across the region generously opening up their wallets to support the cause.
“Around the north west there’s many in most towns there’s someone selling some merchandise today. In Tamworth alone, there’s 12 different sites and probably just today in the Taminda area we’ve raised about $1500.”
