Just a day after finishing second in the Maitland Pro Am, John Onions is the king of Merewether.
The Sydney golfer scored a one-shot win in today’s tournament, edging out Scott Davis and Brendan Smith.
Defending champion, Ed Stedman, was looking good early on, draining this birdie putt on the eighth.
It was a similar story for Smith, he grabbed birdie on 17 on his way to a round of 67.
Rudi Beizudenhout didn’t have much luck in his round of 78… Toronto professional Darren Green also finished over the card.
Merewether pro Peter Johnston just missed out on the top five.
