KOOTINGAL-MOONBI SWIM INTO 21ST CENTURY

Kootingal-Moonbi Swimming Club held their first sign on day for new swimmers, and this season they’re armed with new technology.
The club have recently spent $5,000 on a swimpro underwater camera.
It is the same equipment the AIS and national squads use for their training.
“It does all types of stroke corrections from the hands, their legs, body position, streamlining. It will do all the turns, starts, everything for us. So we can’t wait to utilise it and get the kids in the water and see how it goes. It should be great.”
It will not just be used for elite swimmers either.
“Right from our mini squad, we’ve even got half a dozen parent swimmers as well. So, they’ll get use to it and they’ll get to use the camera. It should be really good.”
