Newcastle’s ALP councillors are calling for more time to consider sweeping changes to council’s organisational structure.
Councillors Crakenthorp, Dunn, Nelmes and Posniak, have mounted a rescission motion, seeking further consultation and a workshop regarding budget cuts at senior and middle management levels.
Cuts have already been felt with the closure of the Loft youth venue and uncertaintly over the role of the Art Gallery Director.
