BOOMERANG FESTIVAL OFF TO A FLYING START

A town famous for hosting blues, roots and jazz gigs has now added another musical genre to its festival repertoire.
Tyagrah’s inaugural Boomerang Festival kicked off last night – the crowds taken on a journey back in time thousands of years.
The three day festival showcases music and dance from indigenous cultures across the world.
“We come here today to learn, to understand, to share and to acknowledge that we are on indigenous land. Australia.”
Australian headline act, Gurrumul Yunupingu will hit the main stage at 9:30 tonight.
