The Northern Inland Academy of Sport is encouraging more children to get active.
This week, more than 150 children in Armidale and Tamworth are participating in come and try days, aimed at getting children to experience a sport they haven’t played before.
“Hopefully get them involved and active and so forth and hopefully down the track they’ll become more involved in NIAS as well ”
Some of the sports on offer include soccer, futsal, hockey and even badminton.
It’s the fourth year the initiative has been held.
“Outside of the NIAS activities days these kids just wanted get these opportunities to participate.”
