Our region’s newest Australian representative is in Melbourne tonight, looking to take the next step in his fledgling basketball career.
Kouat Noi will take on New Zealand in a three game series, as part of the national under 17 side.
Following a late call up, the 15 year old admits he still has things to work on.
“I can beat defenders off the dribble, and I got more speed, but the other power forwards are bigger than me, so the coach said to get bigger and more aggressive.”
If he earns selection for the world champs in Dubai next August, he’ll be one step closer to the dream of playing in the US.
