The state government has today released its Gas Plan, which will shape how the coal seam gas industry will be managed in the future.
It adopts all recommendations made by the state’s chief scientist Mary O’Kane – who released a report on the industry last month.
The system for petroleum exploration licenses will be reset, removing the current freeze on new applications.
