Harrington residents who are unable to drive, are set to benefit from a new community car.
The local Lions Club has handed over a Hyundai to the Manning Valley Community Transport group.
“It’ll service the top end of the Taree LGA to take people to medical appointments and specialist appointments both in Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Taree so having a car based here is fantastic for the community.”
The new vehicle was paid for through a variety of donations and fundraising efforts.
“It’s been a whole of community support with volunteers outside the Lions Club and within.”
