Police believe a fire, which destroyed half a million dollars worth of machinery on a property near Werris Creek, was deliberately lit.
Neighbours noticed smoke coming from a shed in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Two prime movers, a table top truck, trailer, air compressor and two excavators were destroyed in the blaze.
Police say there was evidence of forced entry into the adjoining workshop, and it’s believed a quad bike, trailer and generator have been stolen.
Police are interviewing family members and a number of people who worked for the owner, who was away on holidays at the time.
