Police are the hunt for two men who allegedly assaulted an elderly man in his Taree home, before fleeing with cash.
The pair forced entry into the Kalimna Close property just after midnight, kicking the 70-year-old in the face and stealing his wallet.
The victim was treated by paramedics for lacerations to his head.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
