POLICE TARGETING DRUG MANUFACTURE AND DISTRUBUTION ON THE MID NORTH COAST

Drugs with an estimated street value of almost $50,000 have been seized on the mid north coast as a result of targeted police action in recent weeks.
Some of the major incidents included:
– 62-year-old man charged after 1.2kg of canabis was found, along with 20g cannabis oil and drug paraphernalia, in Lower Southgate.
– 17 plants with a street value of $48,000 seized along with 647 grams of cannabis at Anderton St in Coffs Harbour on Wednesday.
– A 38-year-old South Grafton man arrested after 17 small quantities of ice were found on him. The drugs carry an estimated value of $1700.
Police report that the busts have come about as a result of information from the public and increased police training and awareness.
