While many Hunter residents enjoyed a sleep in over the weekend, a group of adventurous souls took to the skies in a hot air balloon rally.
A blanket of fog slowly peeled back as 20 balloons set off from Rothbury yesterday, heading to Pokolbin for the Balloon Aloft Fiesta.
More than 200 passengers were treated to breathtaking views, while the balloons themselves were a spectacle for early risers below.
