Works to change parking in Kempsey’s Smith Street from parallel to nose to kerb angle parking, are now finished, marking the completion of the first stage of the town master plan.
14 additional spaces have been created between Belgrave and Forth Streets, taking the capacity to 49.
Parking hours have also been extended from one to two hours, and several new signs have been installed.
The master plan is designed to keep Kempsey thriving in the wake of the Pacific Highway bypass.
