More than 20 local charities today reaped the rewards of last month’s “Byron Bay Winter Whales” swim, with organisers distributing over $70,000 in proceeds from the event.
Now in its 26th year, the swim has raised nearly $600,000 for groups like the Byron Bay Surf Life Saving Club and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
