A man in his thirties sustained minor injuries after crashing his car into a traffic light pole in Surfers Paradise this morning.
Police were called to the scene just before seven.
The driver was taken to hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
It took emergency services over four hours to clean-up the accident because of live wires.
