Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson has confirmed the state government has no plans to sell local electricity poles and wires.
It comes after electricity industry unions raised concerns, saying such a sale would negatively impact the area.
Mr Anderson says the New South Wales Government were never going to sell off Tamworth’s poles and wires.
“This time they’re picking on poles and wires, there’s no issue whatsoever. We said we weren’t going to sell poles and wires and to the best of my knowledge, that’s still the case.”
