Australia’s longest bridge will soon have a name, after Roads and Maritime Services filtered through 900 submissions to settle on a preferred option.
After recent community feedback, ‘Kempsey Bridge’ has come out on top, beating other suggestions including ‘Dunghutti Bridge’ in acknowledgement of the traditional owners of the land.
The final decision will be officially announced by the end of the month.
