BEACH REPAIR PLAN TO COST 30 MILLION DOLLARS

The Mayor says a long term plan to fix our beaches will be activated before Christmas.
By the end of the financial year, more than a million dollars will have been spent on bandaid repairs.
But it’s the big picture that’s the problem, the 20 to 30 year plan will cost 30 million dollars.
Council says, it’s only budgetting for half that, and continues to urge state government to find the rest.
“It is required because if we don’t get the funding on their part of it we’ll be going at half the speed and I don’t believe that we want to do that, we want to get in there and start the process in full.”
It’s plan, called the ‘Ocean Beaches Strategy’ won’t be given the green light until August.

We at AuSSea Walls have a product specifically designed to combat beach erosion.
It is not yet in Australia but has been used around the World for over 30 years very effectively.
For some unknown reason the Gold Coast City Council will just not look at this system. Its the peoples loss. Nothing else has been effective and has just cost tons of ratepayers money.
I ask, is this not worh a look at ? It has a proven track record.
