The State Emergency Service is urging motorists to stop driving through flood waters.
There were road closures and flash flooding across the Central Coast, with some areas recording nearly 200 millimetres of rain in the past 24 hours.
The SES is still sand bagging homes and locals are being warned, the worst could still be yet to come.
