The Calvary Mater Hospital in Newcastle takes on a very different look at night, turning a bright shade of pink.
It’s part of the Pink Illuminations initiative, which supports breast cancer awareness month.
The Mater is the main cancer care and research centre in the Hunter.
“Raising awareness is an important part of reducing the impact of breast cancer in Australian families. Calvary Mater Newcastle leads the way as a centre of excellence in the diagnosis and treatment, as well as conducting world class clinical trials in breast cancer,” said CEO Greg Flint.
