A complaint by Lake Macquarie Council will see an independent body examine Rose Group’s controversial housing project at Catherine Hill Bay.
The 554-lot plan was approved by the state government last May, but the developer wants to change some of the conditions attached.
Council is concerned moves to divide the precinct around Wallarah House and the historic Jetty Masters Cottage will compromise the scenic and heritage values of the area.
