A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly passing over counterfeit $50 dollar notes at Tweed City Shopping Centre over the weekend.
It comes during a spike in the use of fake fifties on the Tweed.
Police believe there are other offenders and are encouraging owners to be vigilant when handling the currency.
