An elderly Nambucca Heads woman broke her pelvis after she was swept off Coffs Harbour’s South Wall by a big wave.
The woman’s two grandsons, aged two and four, also fell onto rocks when the swell hit but were not injured.
The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics and then carried 200-metres to a waiting ambulance.
Relatives say it’s the second time in as many years that the woman has broken her pelvis.
