Knights forward Tariq Sims has been named to attend Laurie Daley’s Emerging Blues camp on Saturday.
Meanwhile Newcastle officials are hoping he and Sione Mata’utai will be cleared to play in the Auckland Nines by the end of the week.
Today Mata’utai joined teammates for a Summer in the City event.
The 19-year-old is looking forward to a fresh start, admitting he was overwhelmed in 2015.
“I think I went too far last year, got too wound up and I found it hard playing week in and week out, so it was a massive lesson.”
