WIND PICKS UP FOR SAILING REGATTA

The Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta continued today with the competing yachts battling it out on a much tighter circuit.

There was a delayed start to the second leg of the regatta due to a lack of wind, but the breeze eventually picked up and the race got underway in light conditions at 12.30.

The vessels sailed around Split Solitary Island, hoisting their spinnakers in the 10-knot nor easter for the downwind run home.

Pretty Woman came from behind, overtaking Witchcraft to claim line honours, with About Time crossing the line line in third.

The racing action continues on the water tomorrow.
