A 21-year-old scaffolder has pleaded guilty, to pointing a laser at a police helicopter, temporarily blinding a crew member.
The court heard it was meant to be a harmless prank, but Tutangiora Peters-Kaaka was ordered to serve 60 hours community service.
“Can you tell us why you pointed the laser at the chopper? Um, sorry for what I did eh.”
