A 40-year-old man has been charged with murder, following a fatal stabbing near Kempsey on the state’s mid north coast.
Police were called to Dondingalong just after 9 o’clock on Friday evening, when they found a 54-year-old man deceased.
A short time later officers were alerted to a single vehicle crash not far from the home on Pipers Creek Road, where they arrested the 40-year-old man.
He was released from hospital on Monday, and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station where he was charged.
