CESSNOCK COUNCIL INQUIRY DROPPED

A year long battle that polarised Cessnock City Council and landed it in an Independent Commission Against Corruption inquiry has been resolved.
The resignation of the council’s General Manager Lea Rosser earlier this week, circumvented a move by councillors to have her removed and also defused the complaint that triggered an inquiry.
ICAC has told council that the matter has now been discharged and its hearing dates have been cancelled.
