Gold Coast surfer, Mitch Parkinson has been crowned winner of Battle Clips at a presentation in Newcastle overnight.
The annual video competition features Australia’s up and coming surfing talent with social media interactions accounting for a third of the final scores.
A cousin of former world champion Joel Parkinson, the 22-year-old won the public’s vote and $20,000 ahead of 44 other entries.
