TWEED COUNCIL TAKES REVENGE ON TREE VANDAL

Poison a tree in the Tweed and you could be left with this in your view.

Council erected a large sign on a forrest red gum on Terrace Street, after it was attacked by a person armed with a drill and chemicals.

“I’m very, very sad because of the birds that use it as their daily roosting place – the lovely lorikeets.”

Council had to cut down branches, to minimise the risk of dropping and are still looking for the offender.
