The Hunter’s Robbie Rochow never thought he’d play for his home NRL team, after signing with the Storm in 2009.
But the East Maitland junior made an impressive debut for the Knights before family and friends at Hunter Stadium on Saturday.
“I didn’t expect it no, I’ve had a couple of injuries and if I was playing fully fit I might have expected it but it was a bit out of the blue considering I was only one game back from injury.”
He’s now hoping to retain his spot for the clash with the Warriors.
“It was just good to get a win, I’ve been in that shed when they’ve lost a few times so it was good for everyone to be excited and happy for the win.”
