It’s a case of mission accomplished for a few people who’d set their sights on meeting American TV host Ellen Degeneres on her whirlwind trip downunder.
One of them was Newcastle’s 17-year-old Aaron Jordan, who featured on NBN News several weeks ago.
Aaron has a rare degenerative condition, and started a Facebook campaign to catch Ellen’s attention.
50,000 likes later, he and his family met Ellen and Portia De Rossi in Melbourne this morning.
Meanwhile, NXFM radio personality Heidi Anderson presented Ellen with a Newcastle Knights jersey.
