The Hunter’s economy is set to grow 75 per cent by 2036, according to a new report commissioned by Regional Development Australia.
It estimates a boost of nearly $28-billion, with the mining sector also expected to expand.
According to the report, how the region responds to increased demand from Asia and the digital economy will contribute to the growth.
