There are claims some financial advisors, are taking advantage of baby boomers, to the point many are too frightened to seek professional advice.
That’s according to the Gold Coast branch of the Association of Independent Retirees.
“We’ve had one member who’s in a position now that they’re having to look to down-size their residence because they were given advice and lost a significant amount of money.”
An information forum for retirees is being held next Saturday at the Broadbeach Seniors’ Centre.
