SABRE JET ON THE MOVE

After sitting idle for more than three decades, Raymond Terrace’s iconic sabre jet was on the move this morning, leaving its resting place of Bettles Park.
At sunrise, a convoy of utes complete with police escorts guided the jet, as it began its journey to Williamtown’s Fighter World museum.
The trip took just over an hour, and it was a costly one, coming in at close to $30,000.
In the coming months, it will receive a much needed facelift, then remain on display at the museum.
