The summer cruise ship season has begun. The Sun Princess received what’s becoming a local tradition with a salute from the guns of Fort Scratchley, perched above the Port of Newcastle.
It was a quick stop-over with the ship on a circumnavigation of Australia.
Around 2000 passengers made day trips of the area, which for many included a visit to another local tradition, The Darby Street Festival.
