A residential subdivision in Goonellabah is one step closer, after Lismore City Council voted to seek rezoning approval from the New South Wales Planning Department.
Currently, the land which borders Goonellabah and Richmond Hill, includes nine rural lots.
If approved, half the land will become more than 300 suburban lots.
