Hunter region lashed by another night of storms

Storms and heavy rain have drenched an already soaked Hunter Valley – leading to flash flooding, evacuations and chaos on the roads in new areas.

Today, the state and federal government unlocked crucial funding for some of the region’s most vulnerable.

17,000 homes are without power tonight in the region – thousands of those are going into their third evening, without electricity.
