TWO MEN ON THE RUN AFTER WINDALE HOME INVASION

Police are hunting two men, after a man and a women were attacked in Windale last night.

Around 7:30pm, police attended a property on Tahlee Avenue after reports of an assault.

On arrival, police found a 25-year-old man had been stabbed, and a 27-year-old woman had been punched in the face. The injuries were allegedly the result of an assault by two men, not known to the pair.

The woman was treated at the scene, while the man was taken to John Hunter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The armed men had fled the location after the assault, and police would now like to speak to them.

The first man is described as being about 20-30 years of age with a skinny build and was wearing camouflage cargo pants and a t-shirt. The second man is described as also being about 20-30-years of age and was wearing a black hooded jumper and pants.’
