PERTH GLORY TOO GOOD FOR MARINERS YOUTH LEAGUE TEAM

A blow to the Mariners national youth league, with a surprise loss against seventh placed Perth Glory at Tuggerah today.

The visitors flew out of the gates, piling on the pressure only to see Slobodan Vulin slot the first goal in the eighth minute.

In the second half, the Mariners had several attempts to level it up…..but a second goal to Adrian Zahra doubled the Glory’s lead.

It was only in the 70th minute Brad McDonald was able to drill a shot past the keeper, for the Mariners first.

But Perth sealed the unexpected 3-1 win with a late goal.

The Mariners now have two must-win games left for the season – for a chance to take the title.
