Port Macquarie surfer Matt Banting has been knocked out of the Burleigh Pro.
Banting displayed some impressive moves in today’s round five heat, but it wasn’t enough to see him progress to the next round – his two-wave score of 13.73 placing him in third.
Two-time world champion Mick Fanning and Lennox Head’s Adam Melling both scored 14.43 to progress.
