After a fairly dry start to January, some welcome rain has started falling along the north coast.
With the wet weather predicted to continue throughout the week, Richmond SES is reminding locals to take precautions.
“Just to make sure your gutters are clear of all the leaves, where possible and safe to do so clear over hanging branches from your house.”
However there’s no cause for alarm – the SES says the region has been pretty lucky so far this summer.
“Not to say we’re out of the woods yet, the storm season does still go for a month and a half yet, so fingers crossed we won’t get any significant weather to impact the region”
