The warm weather is creating perfect gardening conditions.
And today, local dance group New Bins on the Block joined Council to raise awareness for its new green waste bin service.
For just one dollar a week, locals can have their third bin emptied, saving them a trip to the tip.
“About 25% of Council’s waste collection is found to be green waste so if we can reduce that amount of garbage going to the landfills, this will be a great improvement for the rate payers and cost effective and money saving”
If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late.
For the next two Saturdays, you can register for the service at a council stand at the Burleigh Heads Bunnings.
