Stuart Island will soon have new visitor facilities.
A site has already been prepared for the construction of an amenities block and a new pontoon for boat owners will also be built.
Nambucca Shire Council has secured a $50,000 grant from Roads and Maritime Services and will match that amount for the upgrade.
“In the future we hope to do further walkways and just improve the general amenity for locals and visitors,” Mayor Rhonda Hoban said.
The work will begin next month.
