Two Tamworth Correctional Centre officers were today awarded for more than four decades of public service between them.
Special guest Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson was on hand to present Russell Smith and Shane McLean with the honours.
“They’ve both received their meritorious medals for 20 years service to the public of New South Wales, particularly in providing a sevrice to the Corrective Services of New South Wales.” – Michael Page, Manager of Security Tamworth Correctional Facility
Mr McLean began his career at Longbay before making the move to Tamworth 16 years ago.
The dedicated worker originally wanted to be a carpenter.
