Lismore race car driver Nathan Herne has lost his battle to compete in the Bathurst 1000 next week.
The 18-year-old wasn’t issued a license for the event last month due to a lack of supercar experience.
In a statement posted on social media, Herne says the last few weeks have been absolute hell, but he’ll still be taking his TA2 to Mount Panorama.
