Newcastle Council will tonight consider community submissions regarding a plan to turn the old Hamilton Bowling Club into a childcare centre.
The proposal would see Adamstown Preschool Services granted a 20-year lease for the Samdon Street site.
The land and buildings were returned to the council in 2013, after the club became insolvent and closed.
14 submissions have been made, with 10 of those noting concerns relating to traffic, parking and noise.
