PILOT IN HOSPITAL AFTER ULTRALIGHT CRASH

A 62-year-old man narrowly avoided disaster today after the ultra-light plane he was flying crashed in Boggabri.
Shortly after 9.30 emergency service crews were called to East Boggabri Golf Course where the man was trapped in the aircraft.
He was flown to Tamworth Hospital suffering facial injuries and throat lacerations believed to be caused by a barbed wire fence.
